Paul,
Good to hear from you and thank you for your continued interest.
“Slight Liszt” has indeed come to a standstill, as Edith & I are still waiting for our new house to be built (workshop actually), and I did not think it wise to continue building and be faced with trying to move a half finished boat.
We have waited three years for the subdivision (roads, water, electricity etc.) to be finished, but at last it is done, we have the title to the land and expect the builders to start this month.
I have toyed with making the rudder and the centre board box, as that is all that is left before I set up the jig.
Meanwhile I have rebuilt the engine of my 1925 Fiat, which at least kept me of the streets.
I suppose ‘Embla’ is soon to come out of hibernation for the summer. I trust you get in some good sailing
Regards,
Pete.
Hi Pete,
ReplyDeleteI guess great minds think alike as I've also been wondering what you've been up to. So this morning I checked in with this blog and found out. I can perfectly understand not wanting to get deep into a boat while house building. I didn't even begin to venture toward the boat until our house remodel was done "enough." Then, the boat building was a pleasant interlude. This summer I'll be back on the house, finishing up a few details that we left. Still, there will be time for sailing. Emily Ruth will be on her mooring right out front.
Good luck with the project. I will continue to check in from time to time.
Jeff
